An accomplished all around adventurer fisherman, Conway Bowman’s name is synonymous with “extreme” fly fishing. For Conway, home base is Encinitas, CA where he guides for blue water species on the fly–most notably killer Mako Shark. As the TV host of three highly rated award-winning television series The Ford Outfitters and Fly Fishing the World on the Sportsman Channel and Fifty Places to Fly-Fish before you Die on the World Fishing Network, Conway has traveled from remote beaches of Baja California to the Southern jungles of Thailand searching out all types of wild fishing adventures. Conway is also the author of “The Orvis Guide to Beginning Saltwater Fly fishing.” Bowman has traveled the world in search of Atlantic salmon, wild trout, redfish, bonefish, and tarpon.
He currently holds the IGFA world record for redfish: 41.65, caught on the fly. When not searching for his next adventure, Conway can be found surfing, diving and fishing his home waters of Encinitas, California where he lives with his wife Michelle and their two wonderful sons Maximilian and Jackson.
