DECKED Ambassador Rendezvous 2025

The DECKED Crew assembles for a photo on the ranch in Dubois, Wyoming. Wait a second, which one of these jokers put up their middle fingers?

Welcome to the center of the DECKED-iverse.

Dubois, Wyoming (pronounced “du-boyz” by the locals): population 971. Some call it the middle of nowhere. But for a few days, it was the center of the universe.

Why? Because it was the site of this year’s DECKED Ambassador Summit. The one week every year where our team of pro mountain bikers, trophy truck drivers and skiers get together with hunters, skateboarders, storm chasers, and anglers. We ride horses, shoot guns, teach each other a few of our tricks, and come away tighter, sharper, and more inspired than ever.

Ambassador Rendezvous 2025 CREW:

Wade Shoemaker, Christopher Polvoorde, Ricky Forbes, Lacey Kelly, David Gravette, Carson Storch, Kyle Strait, James Nash, Seth Blackamore, Jameson Redding, Casey Brown.

Around here, we fly two flags: Old Glory and the Wyoming Bison. Nobody was surprised to see Seth Blackamore pull this fish out of a 6-inch-deep creek after about five minutes of fishing. Sorry, Carson Storch, but we can't help but imagine you riding this horse while wearing a Red Bull helmet.

WILD IN THE WEST

For some companies, this is a scripted media event. Not DECKED. We hand our team a beer, a horse, a firearm, and a fishing pole — then sit back and see what happens.

99 times out of 100, what happens is magic. That other one time, we don’t talk about.

(legal disclaimer: we had professional firearms training onsite)

THE ULTIMATE TEST PILOTS

There are many reasons we love working with this merry band of delinquents, but two of them make products better:

  1. Because they’re always getting after it, they are natural candidates for testing DECKED in their trucks. They’re constantly moving gear and toys, traveling nonstop, juggling multiple things that require constant organization, and putting in huge amounts of time with our products.
  2. They abuse our products in a way that only a sponsored athlete could. And that’s exactly what we ask them to do.

So the Rendezvous is our time to check in and find out how DECKED products are performing for our ambassadors. What large and dangerous objects did they put in their trucks? What sketchy stunts did they attempt with DECKED onboard? What dream products and features do they wish we made? It’s not uncommon that feedback from these sessions goes directly into our future products.

LESS TALKIN’, MORE GAWKIN’

The 2025 DECKED Ambassador Rendezvous was a powerful celebration of grit, skill, and friendship. The heartbeat of the event was unmistakable: connection. Around campfires and tailgates, team members shared laughs and the kinds of conversations that only happen when cell service disappears.

We could describe every day in detail, but as the the saying goes “you can’t learn to ride a horse by reading a book.”

That is to say, we’ll let the photos do the talking from here.

We take fun seriously, and firearm safety even seriously-er. James Nash demonstrates the right way to handle a pistol for the crew.

We were only kidding about handing out firearms willy-nilly. Firearm lessons were led by ambassador and former Marine James Nash, teaching the fundamentals of pistol safety and marksmanship.

Wooooaaaahhhhh there, pardner. Make sure to give your fellow equestrians plenty of space while entering a creek, as demonstrated here by horse expert and Creative Director Andy McCabe.

Where we’re going, not even a truck can make it.

The boys simply cannot be stopped: Seth Blackamore and David Gravette refuse to believe that this small creek has no more fish to offer. When the guy wrote the I'd Rather Be Fishing bumper sticker, he meant specifically that he'd rather be fishing here. You thought Captain Lacey Kelley was gonna walk out of here without a fish? Think again. Doesn't matter if she's 7,000 above sea level where she lives, she'll always find something.

Cold streams, fast water, and beautiful scenery. Thank you, Wyoming.

If you ever go to the National Museum of Military Vehicles, like we did in this photo, make sure to tell 'em Big Barbie sent ya.

After a few days of talking about rugged vehicles, the crew was fired up to go see the tanks and artillery at the nearby National Museum of Military Vehicles.

Around the campfire, everyone's a storyteller. Even the DECKED desk jockey. No, they're not props. These are authentic Coors Light empties. What did the pool ball say to the pool player? Right on cue. If you heard Who Let The Dogs Out 20 times in a row on a jukebox at a bar in Wyoming last summer, well, yeah, that was probably us.

Friendships cemented, skills passed from one to another, spirits recharged, and we all walked away more inspired than ever.

Influence or be influenced: That's what our employee Casey Hawkes told himself before coming to the campfire and out-influencing the influencers.

What can we say? You just had to be there.
