Deep-down in every one of us is the urge to build things. If you’ve got a garage full of tools, half-baked DIY projects, and frequently walk around with sawdust in your ears and pockets – you know what we mean. 👨🔧🔧
The urge to build never really goes away, especially for us truck-fanatics. There’s nothing more satisfying than building out your dream truck or van. We’ve gotten many questions over the years about what aftermarket products work with DECKED Systems, so we thought we’d help y’all out! Because, who doesn’t want to build their dream truck???
SO TELL ME… WHAT THE HECK WORKS WITH DECKED?!?
1. FIBERGLASS CAPS
If you’re looking for extra weatherproof storage above your DECKED Drawer System, a Fiberglass Cap is a great option. Our drawers are compatible with most fiberglass caps, including ARE, Leer, Snugtop and more. Basic rule is if it sits on your bed rails, it’s compatible with DECKED.
2. BED COVERS
Depending on your truck bed rail height, you’ll have about 10″ of space above your system and bed covers. Measure the depth of your bed and then figure that the first 12″ will be taken by your Drawer System so calculate carefully, but covers like the Pace Edwards Switchblade work great.
3. BED RACKS
For those of you who want to live out of their truck and gain some versatile overhead storage, bed racks can transform your truck from ordinary to extraordinary. With a huge variety of models, and functions spanning from Overland to construction, you really can’t go wrong with one of these. We recommend anything from Leitner Designs, Weatherguard ATR, or TrailFX.
4. ROOFTOP TENTS
Rooftop tents take truck-camping to the next level. It’s a must for many Overland enthusiasts. If you want a cloud-9 suite above your truck bed, check out models from iKamper , AT Overland , Cascadia Vehicle Tents , GoFast Campers , FreeSpirit Recreation , and more.
5. TOOLBOXES
While most toolboxes on the market aren’t compatible with our Drawer Systems, shallow crossover toolboxes like the Dezee 8170 will fit right above the deck. Or if you have a 8′ bed Drawer System, check out our DECKED Tool Box . It’s the first toolbox on the market to have an integrated access ladder, and is tougher than nails. Although it’s currently out of stock, we anticipate bringing them back soon, so stay tuned!
6. BIKE RACKS
Play is just as important as work (if not more), which is why we made DECKED Drawers compatible with bike racks using our easy-to-install T-Tracks. Any rack with a T-slot compatible foot for mounting the rack will likely work. Consult our product page and the rack company you are choosing.
7. BED CARGO RAILS
Motorsport enthusiasts don’t worry, we did not forget about you. Our DECKED Drawers are compatible with bed cargo rails to tie down your dirt bike, ATV, or insert your favorite brap-toy here. You just have to make sure that the cargo rails mount to the bedrail and do not go too far down (remember, you need 12″ of clearance for your DECKED Drawer System).
8. CARGOGLIDE AND BEDSLIDE
DECKED Systems are compatible with special SKU’s of bed slides. Check out these guidelines for best practices:

9. BED LINERS
We designed the DECKED system with spray-in bed liners in mind. DECKED also works with BedRug mats. Just be aware it will be a tight fit, and initially the wheels will wear on the rug until they wear through enough to roll smoothly. As far as the BedRug full liner goes, it will be very snug… we don’t really recommend it, especially if there is a spray-in liner as well.
10. KAIZEN FOAM INSERTS
A match made in storage heaven. Kaizen Inserts are a great way to further customize your DECKED drawers and/or D-Box or Crossbox . Hold hand tools, cordless tool sets, fishing tackle, guns, ammo, emergency gear, your camping kitchen, bug-out kit or whatever else you can imagine.
