Need Your Full Truck Bed Back?

Here's How to Remove Your DECKED Drawer System

Your DECKED Drawer System is built to handle the vast majority of your hauling needs without ever leaving your truck. Lumber, mulch, camping gear, motorcycles, ATVs, coolers, and more can all ride on top of the deck while your tools and gear stay organized below.

But sometimes you need the entire volume of your truck bed. When that happens, your DECKED Drawer System can be removed and reinstalled as needed. The removal process is straightforward and typically takes 30–60 minutes using basic hand tools and a second person to help lift the larger components.

Removing Your Drawer System

Before you begin, we recommend:

  • Having one other person available to help lift components
  • Setting aside enough space to safely place the system after removal
  • Keeping your mounting hardware together for easy reinstallation

The Drawer System is built to be durable, which also means some components are heavy. We always recommend lifting with two people.

What You'll Need

  • 7/16” socket wrench
  • 3/8" socket wrench Crescent wrench
  • 3/16” hex wrench
  • 7/32” hex wrench

The Removal Process

  • Clear out any tools, gear, and contents from the Drawers
  • Remove the Codpiece cover panel with the DECKED "D" from between your Drawers.
  • Remove the bolts running down the center of the Drawer System’s top deck.
  • Remove all corner turnbuckles securing the Drawer System to your truck bed
  • Remove the ruler and steel brace located above and below the drawers on the tailgate side.
  • Using a 7/32" hex key, remove the tailgate-side wheels from underneath each Drawer.
  • Pull out each Drawer and set aside.
  • Separate the two halves of the Drawer System and carefully remove them from your truck bed.
  • Store all Drawer System panels, hardware, and Drawers in a safe location for reinstallation.
