Could you walk out your door right now, jump in your truck, and travel for a few days through the backcountry without ever worrying about finding a hotel?
Our boy Casey — Community Marketing guy at DECKED — could.
OK, maybe he’d have to pack up a pillow and sleeping bag and a few other things. But this is the idea behind Casey’s getaway rig. It’s a 2024 Ford F-150 Lariat, built just as much for commuting all week to DECKED HQ as for heading out to the backcountry the minute he clocks off.
The rig is built to go just about anywhere, serving as Casey’s mobile base camp, whether it’s scouting season or hunting season. It’s a fully self-sufficient hotel on wheels, and part of the patented “Casey’s Cozy Corner” strategy is having two caps. During the summer, he runs the Lone Peak Overland Camper to make his setup big and comfy, with plenty of room to organize gear. Once the snow flies, Casey swaps on the sleek SmartCap Evo Adventure Cap to keep that snow blowing off and keep himself the wind out when he’s hunkered down inside.
