If you’ve followed DECKED on social media for long, you’ve probably seen this rig. It’s the personal truck of filmmaker, hunter, fisherman, and all-around badass David Allen Joyce (“DAJ”). It’s already racked up over 180,000 miles in its short life, and it’s driven to both edges of the Earth (or at least from British Columbia to Tijuana). We hope this rig can crack a million miles before it’s done.
DAJ has the truck set up as a rapid-response mobile photography, videography, and production unit that can get to just about any location imaginable. His build allows him to shoot and edit like a pro, eat like a king, and sleep like a baby — all while staying off-grid for days at a time.
With all the fancy gear to shoot photos, videos, and even game — keeping everything organized and protected is the name of the game. DAJ uses a Drawer System, dual CargoGlide 600s and D-co Cases to keep it all safe, protected, organized, and accessible. He’s also become an early adopter of the side-mounted Honcho case. All of this means that unlike a cap or a naked bed, DAJ can not only protect everything, but get his hands on exactly what he needs right when he needs it.
